We are using renewable energy from the new photovoltaic power plant

In July 2021, the installation works of a photovoltaic power plant within our industrial park were completed.

The new source of electricity will contribute to the goals of the Planet Passionate campaign and will increase the efficiency of energy consumption.

Our main goals are the use of renewable energy, the reduction of our carbon footprint and the circularity of raw materials through recycling. Thus, the installation of a photovoltaic power plant was an important measure both in the approach of this action, as well as for increasing energy consumption efficiency. The project, completed in July, was carried out in collaboration with the company E.ON.
“We have chosen E.ON for their professionalism and experience in the construction of photovoltaic power plants. Through this project, our wish is to continue the sustainability goals of our Group and to participate in the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions within the factory. This is just a first step in reducing the company’s carbon footprint, and we will further develop other programs for supporting this goal in the future”, said Marian Pirvu, CEO of Wetterbest.

The new photovoltaic project includes 792 photovoltaic panels installed on an area of ​​1,200 square meters and contributes to protecting the environment by reducing CO 2 emissions by approx. 77 tons per year.
